Well we pass the time here at camp as we all see fit. Some perusin’ the pages of a good book
Some just conversatin’, preparin’ fer’ the evening tellin’ o’ lies around the campfire.
Some tinkerin’ & tweakin’ their toys tryin’ to make their trailer more resemble a porcupine here in the woods. Guess they want to blend with nature better.
But it’s not all fun & relaxifyin’. Some days there’s work to be done. Fred & his lovely wife Pat seem to be the self appointed wood gatherers for the community campfire. We can‘t cut any standin’ trees, dead or not, but we can gather anything that is already down on the ground. Not always an easy task in the thick palmetto scrub. Today they went out into the woods and arrived back a while later with a tree they had located. Soon after they unloaded it they were hard at work cuttin’, stackin’ & splitin’.
The sounds brought myself as well as several other folks to pitch-in. I really went to take some pictures and I told the worker-bees I was with the Camp Newspaper. They seemed to have more help than needed at the time and I didn’t want to crowd things. So I returned home to do some finger tappin’ on these keys.
As fer’ our personal camp things weren’t so busy, a mite slower pace ya’ might say. Linda was in her mornin’ getup, or ensemble as Donna of the Cave Dwellings would call it. I think ya’ have a protégé’ in trainin’ Donna.
Well I better get out to the wood pile to spell some o’ the other worker bees fer’ a while.
Oh, on another note, for those interested, our solar system seems to be doin’ just fine as we’re charged back to 100% most every day. Sure is nice to live in the woods with the comforts of home.
As always, hope to see ya’ down the road as we’re;
